If you got here from Google and you're looking for sunflower fields in the Philippines, refer to this post. Trust me, I'd love to go there too!
Kay without an e is from the Philippines. Not old enough to be your mother. Has gone from one art-related hobby to another (e.g. is a frustrated everything), but seems to have settled into photography for this lifetime. And illustration. And writing. Plus fries on the side. Oh snap.

Well, there’s no way around it! Demi tagged me and she had very kindly informed me that this must be done. Since the main focus of this Tumblr is the photography and not the photographer, I will share 10 facts about me that are more or less art or photo-related.
1. I do not have an art-related degree nor an art-related career.
2. Some form of an “art education” began just last year with lessons in drawing and painting. I think learning these help improve my photo-taking skills!
3. On portraits: You won’t find any trace of it in here, but I personally enjoy taking portraits of children in action. Sadly, these are pictures I couldn’t post in public.
4. Despite the content of this Tumblr, landscapes are my least favorite things to shoot. Strange.
5. Random: During my first “autumn experience”, I picked up a few well-shaped leaves from the ground and brought them home. Because taking photos wasn’t quite enough!
6. I adore classic black and white photographs and would love to learn more about the old masters of photography.
7. In relation to #6, I should learn to develop film one of these days!
8. Favorite photographs? The ones I haven’t taken yet.
9. Blast from the past: I used to draw anime and maintain a personal website. That was a very long time ago. :)
10. Announcing it to the universe to make it happen: I WILL go to Japan in 2013. Wait for the photos!

One of my many unfinished albums (Exhibit A, Exhibit B). I’m a queen of beginning photo projects that are left hanging in the end. Maybe the challenge next year is to finish coherent photo sequences, or maybe even to construct a personal portfolio. Well, who knows? Unfortunately, when things get serious at work, the first thing that gives way is ~creative time.
Art/photography-related “resolutions” for 2012, anyone? :)

This is where is all begins. Everything starts here, today.
And then it was over.
